These are 10 very basic shortcuts that can really speed up your work flow within Pro Tools.

  1. Command+Shift+N- New Track (Dialogue Box)
  2. Command+E- Cut Region at Selection
  3. Command+S- Save Session
  4. Command+U- Strip Silence
  5. Control+Tab- Go to and Select Next Region
  6. Command+F- Fade Selected Regions (Dialogue Box)
  7. Enter- Create Memory Location
  8. Period>Memory Location Number>Period- Recall Memory Location
  9. Command+Shift+I- Import Audio
  10. Command+Option+B- Bounce to Disk

    Another good shortcut is Tab with Region selected for Tab to Transients.
